When I'm planning a vacation I often imagine the pictures and videos I'll take and cherish for a lifetime. I imagine myself, perfectly dressed with no hair out of place, my kids smiling and behaving, and my husband, the perfect Instagram boyfriend - diligently and lovingly capturing these candid moments for our family...
I don't have to tell you that it never goes down like this. I usually look sweaty and can be caught pleading with my kids to just smile for one, ONE photo.
But on a trip to Disney, the actual happiest place on earth, the odds were ever in my favor since everyone was indeed having fun. Even though both my husband and I are professional photographers/videographers, we decided to mostly use GoPros since we were already carrying a hefty amount of stuff and didn't want to worry about our cameras on rides.
This is a huge regret I have. I was all like "I want to be in the moment!" and I neglected to get out my DSLR for most of the vacation. Next time I'm going in with the big guns.
Despite feeling like I under-delivered in the photo department, I'm pretty happy to have this video and will forever cherish the look on my son's face on Thunder Mountain.
Stay magic, friends.
